From internal dev tool to enterprise creator platform

Ethereal Engine began as a powerful internal 3D development tool. My role was to help evolve it into a more usable, enterprise-ready creator platform for building and launching immersive multiplayer experiences.

Problem Statement

Ethereal Engine had powerful capabilities for building and launching immersive multiplayer spaces, but the product experience created friction for broader adoption.
I worked on shaping User Experience from scrath: the creation journey to make setup, customization, and launch clearer for creators, teams, and business users — helping shift the platform from a technical tool toward a more accessible product experience.

My task was to transform a code-first tool into a platform that could support creators, enterprise clients, and emerging XR teams.

My Role and Approach

Step 1

Mapped stakeholders and decision-makers across engineering, product and leadership.

Step 1

Mapped stakeholders and decision-makers across engineering, product and leadership.

Step 2

Led stakeholder interviews to clarify business goals, product expectations, and long-term vision.

Step 3

Facilitated alignment sessions to define MVP1 scope and success product metrics.

Step 4

Mapped early adopter needs through interviews and empathy mapping to inform first-use flows (img2).

Step 5

Translated a research insights into actionable UX. (HMW Framework)

Step 6

Directed the strategic migration of our design system to fully integrate Infinite Reality’s branding and component standards.

Challenge:

The team had scaled quickly and the product vision became fragmented. We needed to realign around a a product direction.

What methods I used to resolve it:

Stakeholder Mapping → Stakeholders Interviews → Affinity Mapping → Defined Product Direction and MVP Scope

Key insights:

Focus on the business objectives for enterprise client and gradually support the broader strategic vision. This helped shape clear design priorities across our tools: 3D Editor, Console, Clients' View.

While it was clear what to build the next challenge was to define how it should work from a user experience and technical perspective.

Challenge:

Synthesizing insights from client interviews, user surveys and market research to align on product priorities.

Result:

It allowed me to keep early adopters engaged without compromising the long-term product development strategy.

How I translated all insights into actionable UX

These experiments highlighted the need for an embedded, interactive product walkthrough that include structured onboarding inside the product. This comprehensive approach guided users through real tasks, in real time resulting in a 82% onboarding completion rate and a measurable boost in early feature adoption.

Admin Pannel Provided users with insights into performance metrics.

Client View: Ability to collaborate inside immersive world.

3D Editor: Simplified navigation with quick access to main features

Design System Migration

Challenge

During the transition to Infinite Reality, I led the migration of our Tailwind-based design system to align with Infinite Reality brand guidelines and voice.

I conducted an audit of both systems (our utility-first components and Infinite Reality’s brand tokens, iconography and visual direction), identifying overlaps, mismatches, and technical constraints. Based on this, I defined a strategy to progressively shift component styling while preserving interaction logic and minimizing code refactor.
